About the Program:
Tree Tops Learning Center’s mission is to provide a safe and enriching environment where children can: learn and explore; develop their creativity, self-esteem, and independence; and learn to care about others and the world around them. Picture We believe children learn best from each other and the adults around them. Tree Tops strives to create a community of children, parents and educators working together to support and encourage children’s growth and enthusiasm for learning. We believe that hands-on activities provide the most meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, by supporting and guiding children through their daily activities we enable them to acquire the necessary skills to meet the challenges ahead of them. By modeling caring behaviors and providing children with opportunities to be responsible citizens of the world, we encourage them to develop these lifelong habits. The most important goal of our early childhood curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. Our goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners. Our curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development: Social - help children feel comfortable in school, trust their new environment, make friends and feel they are part of a group. Emotional - help children experience pride and self-confidence, develop independence and self-control and have a positive attitude toward life. Cognitive - help children become confident learners by letting them test their own ideas and acquire learning skills, such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions and use words to describe their thoughts and feelings. Physical - help children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do.
