About the Program:
Founded in 1969, the Shattuck Child Care Center provides high quality, affordable, and developmentally-appropriate child care to children ages 15 months to 6 years old in a racially, culturally and economically diverse setting. We seek to provide an educational and social environment which is both stimulating and satisfying for children. We believe that this age is one of rich growth: new social and cognitive skills are being acquired at a rate probably unsurpassed at any other period in life.
We feel strongly that academic and social success is closely related to one’s self-confidence, and therefore an important goal of our program is fostering in all children good feelings about themselves as well as respect for each other. We do this by offering a variety of group and individual experiences and activities which encourage a better understanding of self and the world through academic, scientific, artistic and, most importantly, humanistic exploration and expression.
Toilet Independence Requirements:
Children are NOT required to be toilet trained at the time of enrollment.
